Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a CAD Designer to join our Wilmington, DE team on a hybrid schedule. The role focuses on drafting design drawings from input, expanding CAD skills, and creating master sketches to scale showing installations relative to existing facilities.

You may assist on-site at client facilities and collaborate with vendors to refine drawings. Ideal candidates have an associate degree or higher, 10+ years of design experience, and strong MicroStation proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a technical area including drafting or a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience
• Ten (10) or more years of design experience
• Advanced drafting experience using standard computer drafting tools (i.e MicroStation)
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer
• Knowledge in MicroStation
• Ability to multi-task from project to project

Responsibilities

• Utilize and expand drafting skills in a multi-disciplined team
• Apply CAD skills with hands-on training in 3D design software
• Create master sketches to scale showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities
• Accompany and assist designers on client walkdowns to gather information
• Interface with vendors to explain drawings for design adjustments
