Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a CAD Drafter to join the Nuclear Power Group in a hybrid schedule, combining in-office design work with remote tasks. The role focuses on developing design drawings from input with a multi-disciplinary team, and advancing 3D CAD skills in a training-forward environment.

Responsibilities include creating master sketches to scale, supporting installations with precise specs, and collaborating with vendors and construction teams to refine designs.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or high school diploma with equivalent technical design experience
• 5+ years drafting experience using MicroStation or similar tools
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without CAD assistance
• Knowledge of MicroStation
• Ability to multi-task across projects

Responsibilities

• Prepare design drawings from input in a multi-disciplinary team
• Apply CAD skills, with hands-on training in 3D design software environments
• Create master sketches to scale showing installations and exact specifications
• Assist experienced designers on client facility walkdowns to gather data
• Explain drawings to vendors/contractors to support design adjustments
