Sargent & Lundy is seeking a part-time CAD drafter to join a multi-disciplinary team in Wilmington, DE. The role blends in-office work with remote assignments, focusing on preparing design drawings from input and expanding 3D CAD skills in a hands-on environment.

You will create master sketches to scale, support on-site walkdowns, and work with vendors to refine drawings, contributing to project success while learning advanced software tools.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a technical area including drafting, or a high school diploma with equivalent design experience.
• Advanced drafting experience using MicroStation.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without CAD aid.
• Knowledge of MicroStation and 3D design concepts.
• Ability to multi-task across projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design drawings based on input from a multi-disciplined team.
• Apply CAD skills while receiving hands-on training in 3D software.
• Create master sketches to scale showing installation relations and exact specs.
• accompany experienced designers on client walkdowns for information gathering.
• Interface with vendors and contractors to explain drawings for design adjustments.
