Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Knoxville, Tennessee, seeks a drafter to join a multi-discipline team focused on creating design drawings from input, expanding CAD skills, and collaborating with designers and engineers on projects.

You will work in a hybrid office/remote setup, receive hands-on training in 3D software, assist with site walkdowns, and coordinate with vendors to refine drawings. A technical degree and MicroStation experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or high school diploma with equivalent technical design experience.
• Advanced drafting experience using standard computer drafting tools (MicroStation).
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer.
• Knowledge in MicroStation.
• Ability to multi-task from project to project.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and design work within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Apply CAD skills and expand experience in 3D design software environments.
• Create master sketches to scale showing relationships to existing facilities and exact specifications.
• Assist experienced designers on site walkdowns to gather information for projects.
• Interface with vendors and contractors to explain drawings for design adjustments.
