Job summary

Sound Transit is seeking a Principal Construction Manager to oversee closeout for the Federal Way Link Extension and start-up for the West Seattle Link Extension. The role splits time between projects and advances to full-time West Seattle support.

Under the Director of Construction Management, you will lead teams, manage budgets, ensure contract compliance, and guide staff across multiple delivery methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or closely related field.
• Five years construction management experience including heavy civil, buildings, and underground structures.
• Three years leadership, budgetary, planning and workforce management experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews work of staff and projects.
• Coaches, trains, and motivates staff; manages staff performance.
• Oversees construction management and consultants; ensures contract compliance.
• Monitors budgets, expenditures, and funding forecasts.
• Maintains safety, quality, and schedule across multiple delivery methods.
