The role partners with HR Business Partners, Legal, Labor Relations, and vendor teams. This hybrid position requires strong analytical skills, experience with benefit design, regulatory compliance, and data reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related Benefits experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred with a strong focus on numbers and analytics.
• Knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to Benefits.
• Understanding of Health & Welfare plan designs.
• Strong inclination and comfort with reporting, complex spreadsheets and calculations.
• Proactive, agile, self-starter with a team-first approach.
• Experience producing deliverables in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate, and analyze proposed benefit offerings; conduct cost analyses and develop strategic recommendations.
• Serve as the primary benefits SME for union-represented populations, providing guidance on plan design and CBAs.
• Oversee end-to-end administration of negotiated benefit changes and ensure timely execution.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medical plans, Health & Welfare, retirement plans, and related regulations.
• Prepare federal, state, and local compliance filings as assigned.
• Develop reports and executive-ready materials communicating analyses and updates.
• Manage Health & Welfare vendor relationships, RFI/RFP processes, evaluations, and performance management.
• Support benefits projects, ensuring accurate execution and adherence to timelines.
• Provide day-to-day benefits administration support, including inquiries and enrollment activities.
• Budget tracking, reconciliations, and benefits-related reporting.
