Job Overview

The Director of Benefits leads all strategic initiatives related to Keurig Dr Pepper’s global benefits design, compliance, cost, and return on investment. Responsible for researching, designing, presenting, and selecting a full spectrum of benefits programs and policies—including health and welfare benefits, retirement benefits, wellness, disability programs, and flexible spending accounts. The role evaluates plans to ensure competitiveness, proper administration, and alignment with employee needs and organizational goals. The director partners with finance, legal, and external brokers to forecast and manage the total benefits budget, selects and manages third‑party vendors, and drives quality of service, cost effectiveness, and ROI.


Responsibilities


  • Design and provide financial oversight of all employee benefit programs, including health and welfare benefits, retirement benefits, wellness, disability programs, flexible spending accounts, and voluntary benefits.

  • Reshape the employee wellness strategy with a direct link to the health and welfare benefit programs.

  • Manage a team of benefits professionals, fostering collaboration across functions.

  • Analyze existing benefits/HR policies and prevailing practices to establish competitive programs.

  • Lead benefit communication strategy and execution for U.S., Canadian, and global plans.

  • Work with labor relations, HR, and legal to develop proactive benefits strategy supporting labor negotiations.

  • Partner with finance, legal, and audit to identify cost, risk, and legal implications of benefits programs.

  • Develop, maintain, and report statistical data on current plans, proposed changes, costs/expenditures, and delivery methods.

  • Execute initiatives and process improvement projects to drive efficiency and cost savings while maintaining a positive employee experience.

  • Manage relationships with third‑party vendors to ensure adherence to processes, service levels, and prompt resolution of participant issues.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 10+ years of related experience with at least 5 years managing a team of benefits professionals.

  • Demonstrated experience identifying, designing, recommending, and implementing efficient, innovative, and strategic business solutions to complex benefits challenges.

  • Broad understanding of benefits-related laws and regulations (FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA, ACA).

  • Proven track record managing outsourced benefits vendors.

  • Excellent interpersonal, influence, consulting, customer service, communication, and collaboration skills; experience influencing senior management.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, able to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to build partnerships with finance, legal, and labor relations.

  • Deep understanding of change management and deploying programs across diverse workforces.

  • Executive presence and strong presentation skills.

  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
