Job summary

Cornell University’s Office of the University Registrar seeks a Scheduling Systems Analyst and Academic Classroom Coordinator to support classroom and exam scheduling, space management, and data reporting. This role blends operations with analytics to improve processes and student experiences.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, ensure FERPA adherence, and contribute to scheduling data initiatives in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience in a higher education student service office
• Extensive experience with Series25 scheduling software and integrations
• Experience with Course/Class and Facilities data in SIS systems
• Proficient in reporting and data visualization
• Ability to gather requirements and develop testing/data validation use cases
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical users
• Familiarity with FERPA and data privacy policies
• Attention to detail and excellent customer service

Responsibilities

• Manage classroom assignments using scheduling optimization tools and manual placement for Ithaca and Cornell Tech campuses
• Coordinate prelim and final exam scheduling and support departments, faculty, and students with conflicts
• Develop operational reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for decision-making
• Serve as a resource on scheduling data structures, systems, integrations, and relationships
• Contribute to a scheduling data mart with Cornell Information Technologies
• Analyze scheduling and space utilization data for trends and improvements
• Coordinate with departments and faculty to resolve conflicts and ensure policy compliance
• Collaborate with facilities staff and partners to keep space information current
• Assist faculty, staff, and students with scheduling questions and requests
