Job summary

Illumina, based in San Diego, CA, is hiring a Sr. Sales Operations Analyst for a hybrid role requiring 2 days on-site weekly at the San Diego HQ. You will drive sales standardization, process improvements, and data-driven insights across territories and accounts to support commercial objectives.

The candidate will lead analytics, collaborate across departments, and engage in regional/global projects to optimize reporting and performance. A strong Excel and Salesforce background is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years related experience, or 3 years with a Master’s degree.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, and project management skills.
• Experience with Salesforce.com and IBM Planning Analytics is a plus.
• Excellent Excel modeling capabilities (Power Query, Pivot, advanced formulas).
• Clear written and verbal communication with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships and serve as main contact to General Manager for subregional teams.
• Develop strategy for sales reporting, quota setting, territory design, and process optimization.
• Lead pipeline review meetings to define performance goals for sales teams.
• Prepare advanced pipeline analyses identifying trends and drivers.
• Identify opportunities for sales process improvements and educate end users.
• Collaborate on regional/global projects and act as a subject matter expert.
• Drive adoption of commercial resources through training and onboarding.
