Job summary

Illumina is seeking an Associate Director of Pricing Transformation to drive enterprise pricing strategy, analytics, and governance. You will influence senior stakeholders, shape the commercial future, and lead cross-functional teams across global markets. This hybrid role requires 2–3 in-office days weekly in San Diego, with additional on-site as needed.

You will report to the Sr. Director, Enterprise Pricing and Financing, and contribute to pricing frameworks, KPIs, and post-implementation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 15+ years in Pricing/Finance/Commercial Ops or equivalent, with 7+ years of management experience.
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• Pricing or Six Sigma training/certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to tie detailed analysis to strategy.
• Willing to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Enable pricing excellence and evolution across global markets.
• Articulate and present pricing proposals within a cross-functional, matrixed organization.
• Develop training materials and lead internal workshops for stakeholders.
• Build pricing frameworks, models, and dashboards to inform decisions and optimize revenue.
• Analyze global markets to understand value propositions, competition, and product attributes for pricing.
• Implement advanced customer segmentation and personalized pricing strategies by region, customer type, or channel.
• Establish KPIs and lead post-implementation reviews for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Operations to align pricing with business goals.
• Develop and maintain pricing tools and ensure pricing governance and audit readiness.
