Job summary

TIAA is hiring a Financial Consultant to counsel participants in pension plans, tax-deferred annuities, and other investment options through in-person, phone and video meetings. You will deliver financial planning guidance aligned with participants' goals while working across regional institutions in a hybrid schedule.

During training you will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime; after training you will be salaried with a 40-hour week, and licenses must be obtained within 120 days.

Qualifications

• University degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience required; 5+ preferred.
• Licenses: Series 7 and Series 63; Life and Health Insurance License to be obtained within 120 days.
• Physical requirements: Sedentary work.

Responsibilities

• Counsels participants on pension plans, tax-deferred annuities and other available investment options to help clients retain and increase assets.
• Educates, recommends and facilitates new product purchases (including mutual funds, annuities, IRAs, 529 and 403b, bank products, life insurance and others) and provides financial planning guidance.
• Interacts with retirement plan participants to provide exceptional customer service and execute transactions and service requests.
• Utilizes knowledge of tax and investment strategies to inform financial advice based on clients' financial needs and objectives.
• Communicates internally with cross-business partnerships to develop and implement TIAA products and services to support clients and company initiatives.
• Develops and maintains strong relationship with Institutional Plan Sponsors.
