Job summary

TIAA is seeking a Financial Consultant to counsel participants and beneficiaries on retirement and investment options through in-person, phone, and video sessions. You will receive training during the initial period, with a transition from non-exempt hourly to exempt salaried status after training, while maintaining eligibility for overtime until then.

Role requires FINRA registrations (Series 7, 63) and Life/Health Insurance licenses within 120 days.

Qualifications

• University degree preferred.
• 3+ years in financial counseling or related field; 5+ years preferred.
• Active FINRA licenses Series 7 and Series 63.
• Life and Health Insurance License required within 120 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Counsels participants on pension plans, tax-deferred annuities and investments to help retain and increase assets.
• Educates and facilitates new product purchases (mutual funds, annuities, IRAs, 529/403b, bank products, life insurance).
• Interacts with retirement plan participants to provide exceptional customer service and process transactions.
• Uses tax and investment knowledge to inform financial guidance based on clients' needs and goals.
• Collaborates with cross-business teams to deploy TIAA products and services for client success.
• Grows relationships with Institutional Plan Sponsors.
