Job summary

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) seeks two Fiscal Analyst 1 professionals to support Payments and Receipts. You will review and process vendor transactions, ensure GAAP compliance, and provide guidance to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Experience with financial transactions, cash, payments, reconciliations or similar fiscal processes.
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and determine corrections.
• Review of transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with requirements.
• Ability to research issues, evaluate information, and determine solutions.
• Ability to communicate clearly with diverse customers and stakeholders.
• Ability to organize workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and process financial transactions for accuracy and compliance.
• Research and resolve discrepancies, communicate corrections to offices.
• Review and authorize purchase card transactions and process them in financial systems.
• Process internal transactions per established requirements.
• Provide guidance on payment processes, travel and reimbursement requirements, and financial systems.
• Analyze transaction issues and interpret system messages to determine resolutions.
• Develop and update guidance based on recurring issues and policy changes.
• Process and review warrant cancellations and coordinate with the State Treasurer’s Office.
• Perform special assignments and assist with fiscal or administrative projects.
