Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Accounting and Financial Services Division is seeking a Fiscal Technician 2 to join the Payments & Receipts Unit in Lacey, WA. You will provide essential fiscal and administrative support to ensure accurate processing of vendor payments, warrants, and cash receipts in compliance with policy.

• Ability to pass criminal background check.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Sort mail, log checks and payments, balance daily totals.
• Research and log returned warrants; match remittances to warrants.
• Ensure documents comply with policies and records retention.
• Prepare and process daily cash receipt transactions.
• Verify receipt data against documentation and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and report trends.
• Develop and maintain desk procedures and training materials.
• Provide timely customer service on payments and warrants.
• Communicate with vendors and customers and maintain records.
• Process petty cash requests and coordinate approvals.
• Cross-train with staff for operational support.
