State of Washington Office of Financial Management seeks a Financial Analyst in the Fiscal and Operations Unit to manage accounts receivable, contract billing, and transition work toward Workday. The role supports agency invoicing for OFM, GOV, and OII with monthly/quarterly/annual reporting and reconciliation processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 18 quarter hours or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting.
• Two years of relevant professional accounting experience with advanced/fiscal analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to research and analyze information from multiple sources.
• Strong technical skills with Microsoft Office products and financial/reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely processing of all accounts receivable invoices for OFM, GOV, and OII.
• Develop electronic tracking system for monthly, quarterly, and annual invoicing.
• Review contracts to identify accounts receivable implications.
• Research discrepancies and process corrections as needed.
• Provide monthly/quarterly/annual reporting to agency leadership on outstanding receivables.
• Develop reconciliation processes for AR systems with general ledger accounts.
• Document processes for Workday AR processing readiness and compare to Workday.
• Audit daily accounts payable transactions.
• Verify batch transactions match payments (vendor, coding, amounts).
• Maintain payable contract records and interagency agreement tracking.
• Track contracts/balances electronically and update accordingly.
• Communicate with leadership about activity exceeding contracted values or dates.
• Participate in monthly financial statement review and close.
• Process corrections so month-end statements are accurate.
• Communicate with agencies about outstanding/aged receivables.
• Identify outstanding receivables and coordinate with agencies for required documents.
