Job summary

The Mutual Group is seeking a Commercial Lines Insurance Nonprofit Human Services Underwriting Specialist in New Jersey. You will grow and manage a book of commercial lines, advise other underwriters, and consult at the highest level of underwriting authority.

You will analyze exposures for nonprofit human service organizations and education institutions to determine coverages and premiums that are competitive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years underwriting all commercial lines (Property, GL, Professional Liability, WC, Crime, Commercial Auto, Umbrella).
• Prefer nonprofit human services and education underwriting experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and make decisions in a timely manner; CPCU or similar certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Grow and manage a book of commercial lines business.
• Advise other underwriters and staff on processes and procedures and authority.
• Analyze exposures and determine coverages and premium that are adequate and competitive.
• Build relationships with agents to drive increased business flow.
• Meet performance indicators and support portfolio health.
