GEO Reentry Services LLC. seeks a professional to deliver cognitive behavioral curriculum and life skills programming to program participants as part of rehabilitation efforts. The role emphasizes evidence-based practices and community reintegration planning.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, facilitation experience, and strong interpersonal skills. A valid driver’s license is required, and some hybrid onsite/offsite work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences or related field required.
• Must have previous experience as a facilitator/educator/group moderator.
• Preference given to experience within a correctional setting.
• Valid state driver's license required.
• Ability to interact in a professional manner in both individual and group counseling settings.
• Excellent interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
• Extensive organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiar with the correctional system and current correctional policies.
• Possess a thorough understanding of the Principles of Effective Intervention that empirical evidence has proven to successfully reduce recidivism.
• Ability to work with a team of professionals and have the ability to implement team strategy approaches to work assignments.
• Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates delivery of cognitive behavioral curriculum in individual and group settings focusing on motivation for change, social adjustment, personal management, social skills, cognitive restructuring, and problem-solving.
• Conducts periodic reviews of curriculum and resources to enhance participation in life skills programming.
• Maintains class rosters, attendance records, and provides completion certificates for evidence-based programs and life skills curriculum.
• Supports the assessment of participant needs and makes referrals to management.
• Provides individual and group counseling in areas including self-esteem, problem solving, relationships, and related issues.
• Communicates with program participants regarding reentry planning and identifying community resources.
• Aids participants in planning and developing post-release plans and encouraging responsibility for post-release behaviors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
