BKF is seeking a Project Accountant to join our Oakland-based accounting team. The role requires accuracy in managing invoices, project costs, and financial reporting in a dynamic, multi-service infrastructure firm environment.

You will work closely with project managers and engineers while supporting month-end closes and client inquiries. Hybrid-remote schedule with one day per week in the Oakland area and the rest remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Experience in Architecture or Engineering industry preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong mathematical aptitude with high accuracy.
• Proficient in Excel and billing processes.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint accounting is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support month-end closing processes and reconciliations.
• Prepare client invoices and review draft invoices for labor/expense accuracy.
• Assist Project Manager in reviewing project costs (budget vs actual).
• Respond to invoicing questions and provide documentation.
• Prepare project financial reports (WIP aging, AR aging).
• Support project setup and maintenance in Deltek Vantagepoint.
• Troubleshoot project billing issues and refine processes.
• Other assignments as required.
