Job summary

BKF is seeking a Project Accountant to manage accounts and documentation with accuracy. The role supports month-end close, invoicing, budgeting, and project reporting in a dynamic multi-office environment.

The position reports to the Oakland office one day weekly with hybrid-remote flexibility for the rest of the week. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting, awareness of the architecture/engineering sector, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Architecture or Engineering industry is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and oral).
• Strong mathematical aptitude.
• Solid knowledge of Excel and data accuracy.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interface with project managers, clients, and architects.
• Deltek Vantagepoint Accounting system experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the month-end closing process and reconciliations.
• Prepare invoices for clients and review draft invoices for appropriate labor and expense charges.
• Assist Project Manager in reviewing project costs (budget vs actual).
• Research client invoicing questions and fulfill invoice support requests.
• Prepare project financial reports (WIP aging, AR aging, budget vs actual).
• Support project managers in Deltek Vantagepoint setup and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and solve project billing issues.
• Additional assignments as required.
• Report to Oakland office one day per week with hybrid-remote the rest of the week.
