Job summary

Superhuman's Privacy Legal Team seeks a Privacy Counsel to help integrate privacy into product across global regimes. You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, security, and legal to provide practical guidance on privacy obligations and risk management.

You will advise on GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, HIPAA, and state laws, support M&A privacy diligence, and build scalable privacy reviews and training. This role requires a JD and US bar, with 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of privacy counseling experience, preferably at a tech company or top law firm.
• Deep knowledge of global privacy, security, and data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
• Ability to translate complex issues into practical guidance.
• Track record partnering with legal, product, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to privacy partner for legal, product, engineering, marketing, and security teams.
• Advise on global privacy laws and handling sensitive data, including biometric data.
• Support privacy M&A due diligence and integration.
• Drive cross-functional privacy implementations and training.
• Develop privacy reviews, playbooks, and scalable guidance.
• Monitor regulatory developments in SaaS, AI, and cloud tech.
