The role collaborates with Legal, Product, and Security teams to scale privacy workflows and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Ideal candidates have a J.D., CIPP/E and CIPP/US credentials, and 6–8+ years in privacy law with experience in AI-related regulation.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• CIPP/E, CIPP/US certifications are required.
• 6-8+ years of relevant privacy experience.
• Deep expertise in European privacy laws and AI regulation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, execution, and continuous improvement of Abnormal's global privacy program across GDPR/UK GDPR, EU AI Act, and US state privacy laws.
• Drive AI governance initiatives with R&D, Security, and AI governance stakeholders.
• Provide product and privacy legal counseling to R&D and product teams.
• Manage privacy operations including DSARs, DPIAs, mapping, retention, and audits.
• Lead incident response considerations and regulatory interactions.
• Support DPO governance and act as privacy contact for inquiries.
