Abridge, a healthcare AI company, seeks an experienced Privacy Counsel to lead our privacy team and scale our privacy and data governance program. This hybrid role requires working from SF or NYC offices 3 days per week; you will partner with Security, Product, Engineering and cross-functional teams to provide practical guidance and develop policies for responsible innovation.

Competenze

• 10+ years of privacy experience in-house, health tech, or technology-focused law firms.
• Experience building, developing, advising, and evaluating privacy programs for products.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare privacy requirements, plus CCPA/CPRA, biometric privacy laws, and US state privacy frameworks.
• Practical, risk-based reasoning balancing legal, regulatory, business, and customer needs.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate complex requirements for technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Strong organizational skills in a fast-moving environment.

Mansioni

• Build Abridge’s privacy program, providing practical, product-focused counseling to Security, Product and Engineering teams.
• Advise teams on privacy laws related to AI, ML, clinical data, product development, and data use.
• Develop, maintain, and scale global privacy programs.
• Support data sharing and ecosystem questions with governance and contractual expectations.
• Monitor changes in privacy laws and AI regulations.
• Draft and operationalize privacy policies, playbooks, templates, and training materials.
