Responsibilities
- Own the privacy function and serve as a legal advisor on all privacy and data protection matters.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate privacy-related legal risks across cutting-edge technologies and products.
- Advise on privacy implications related to data use, AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies.
- Design and deliver privacy training programs for employees across the organization.
- Build and maintain relationships with key regulators and external stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of emerging legal and regulatory developments in U.S. and global privacy and data protection laws.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
- 7+ years of combined legal experience at technology companies and law firms
- Extensive privacy counsel experience.
- Experience independently owning and scaling a legal function or subject-matter area.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data-intensive technologies.
- Experience building privacy programs at high-growth startups or scaling technology companies.
