Job summary

Leidos Engineering is seeking a Project Manager I to support substation engineering projects for electric utilities. You will work with lead engineers and account managers within the Power Delivery Solutions division, in a hybrid role that requires regular in-office collaboration and can be performed from Walled Lake, MI, Pittsburgh, PA, or Chicago, IL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or closely related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant Project Management experience.
• Experience with project management software (MS Project, P6) and financial reporting.
• Ability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts in projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead project teams to complete engineering designs for electric utilities.
• Manage project costs, schedule and scope within approved limits.
• Develop recovery plans and ensure contract compliance.
• Prepare bid documents and develop cost estimates.
• Interface with clients, management, and cross-disciplinary teams to report progress and risks.
• Complete monthly invoices and track accounts receivable.
