Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years’ experience in piping design for industrial and commercial facilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform field/site visits including climbing ladders.
• Ability to travel (estimated travel time is 10%).
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other disciplines remotely.
• Professional Engineering License (preferred).
• Experience with Revit, Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Pipe-FLO is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply piping discipline procedures and codes to design projects.
• Develop piping systems concepts and calculations.
• Create P&ID’s and Block Flow Diagrams.
• Perform equipment selections and write specifications.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients and other disciplines.
• Lead a design team within the piping discipline.
• Mentor junior staff.
• Perform static pipe stress analysis.
• Check drawings for quality assurance.
• Travel to other offices or countries as needed.
• Organize and delegate work.
