Job summary

The Employment Development Department's Workforce Services Branch seeks an Analyst to support over 1,100 employees across 60 offices statewide. The role includes consulting with leaders on hiring, leadership development, performance reporting, and process improvement, with emphasis on prevention and data-based decisions.

The position offers a hybrid schedule with telework options. Strong research, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with developing training materials

Qualifications

  • Be reliable, dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interpret policies and provide recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access…).
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to coach managers and develop training materials.
  • Ability to work independently, in person or telework.

Responsibilities

  • Research personnel issues, interpret policies and procedures.
  • Review information, identify concerns and provide management with recommendations.
  • Develop training materials and lead or participate in process-improvement projects.
  • Coordinate with leaders, offices, and HR services on personnel matters.
