Job summary

The NC Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Staff Development Specialist II (NS) to oversee agency-wide performance management and LMS administration. You will administer NCVIP and related HR systems, coordinate annual performance cycles, and develop training resources.

Strong emphasis on policy interpretation, reporting, and user training across the division. This hybrid role is based in Raleigh, NC, with onsite requirements and collaboration across HR, IT, and program staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of training development experience.
• Experience administering HR systems, LMS, or performance management platforms.
• Ability to interpret policies and translate them into system processes and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Administer HR system functions, including groups, goals, security, and data maintenance.
• Coordinate annual performance management cycles and related activities.
• Interpret policies to guide system processes and training content.
• Troubleshoot issues with HR staff and partners, and coordinate resolutions.
• Develop and validate reports to monitor activity and support decisions.
• Assess training needs and create job aids, guides, and materials.
• Deliver training (classroom, virtual, or coaching) for various users.
• Evaluate system use and update training/guidance accordingly.
• Provide backup LMS administration and reporting as needed.
