Job summary

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll accurately and timely for multiple pay groups in Charlotte, NC with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, Tue–Thu). You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, maintain payroll records, prepare reports, and support audits and year-end activities, including W-2s.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree, 3+ years payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with UKG Ready; excellent customer service

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years payroll processing experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis functions.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Process and review bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls.
• Verify employee data including direct deposit and tax forms.
• Prepare payroll reports for finance, HR, and leadership teams.
• Audit payroll transactions and identify discrepancies or process improvements.
• Maintain employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality.
• Assist with payroll year-end activities including Forms W-2 and tax filings.
