Book Harvest in Durham, NC is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator to own day-to-day payroll and benefits with a focus on accuracy, warmth, and strong systems. This hybrid role supports staff nationwide and helps scale payroll processes for a growing nonprofit.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in payroll/HR operations, experience with payroll platforms, and a talent for simplifying complex workflows while providing exceptional employee service.

Qualificações

• 4+ years of work experience, with at least 1 year in payroll, benefits, or HR administration.
• Experience with payroll and HRIS platforms; Paylocity or Employee Navigator preferred.
• Strong Excel/Sheets skills and data accuracy focus.

Responsabilidades

• Run accurate, timely payroll using our payroll platform and manage related records.
• Administer benefits: enrollment, changes, life events, and reconciliations.
• Identify and implement workflow improvements to simplify processes.
• Serve as a warm, reliable point of contact for payroll and benefits on onboarding and inquiries.
• Maintain compliant employee records and conduct cross-system audits.
