Job summary

Eviction Defense Collaborative, Inc. is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to administer payroll and employee benefits for 100+ staff. The role centers on ADP administration, benefits coordination, and compliance, with close collaboration across HR, Finance, brokers, and vendors.

Must have 4+ years payroll/benefits experience, strong ADP Workforce Now knowledge, and deep understanding of California wage-and-hour laws. The position is hybrid, with some evenings required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer end-to-end payroll processing in ADP for all employees on the payroll schedule.
• Maintain payroll data, validate time and attendance, process changes, run audits, prepare previews, submit payroll.
• Reconcile payroll with general ledger, prepare reports, and maintain audit trails.
• Coordinate benefit enrollments, changes, COBRA/Cal-COBRA, ACA reporting, and vendor interactions.
• Handle leave administration and compliance activities with HR and Finance teams.
