AMPAM, a leading MEP contractor in California, seeks a Payroll Specialist with hands-on ADP Workforce Management and ADP Workforce Now experience. You will manage timekeeping, labor data, and biweekly payroll for 1,500+ employees, ensuring compliance with state and local laws.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, resolving timecard issues, and supporting payroll audits. A high level of discretion and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Payroll and HR experience with a population of 500-1000 employees.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Dependable, responsible; able to work with limited supervision.
• Excellent communication and group presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Process daily and biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff across multiple systems.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile payroll with the Payroll Manager to ensure timeliness.
• Maintain employee payroll records including new hires and rate changes.
• Administer ADP Workforce Now timekeeping and ensure compliance with policies.
• Audit timecards to resolve discrepancies and obtain supervisor approvals as needed.
• Run and validate payroll and timekeeping reports; support overtime and bonuses.
• Ensure compliance with California wage and hour laws and prevailing wage rules.
• Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and process improvements.
