Job summary

Miami Valley Infusion Admin is seeking a Patient Financial Advocate to help patients access financial resources and navigate insurance, prior authorizations, and benefit verification. The hybrid role combines work at Miami Valley Hospital South with remote support, and requires strong math skills and meticulous billing knowledge.

Ideal candidates have high school completion, 3–5 years of related experience, familiarity with medical terminology and CPT/ICD coding; Epic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: medical terminology, medical billing, CPT/ICD coding knowledge; associate degree preferred.
• Windows-based typing test 25 wpm required.
• 3–5 years of related experience in hospital/healthcare finance.

Responsibilities

• Help patients and families access financial resources and understand options.
• Oversee revenue cycle tasks: prior authorization, follow-up, and benefit verification.
• Answer questions about insurance and provide estimates of co-pays.
• Support patient registration and third-party billing processes as needed.
