Job summary

Fenwick & West is seeking a Legal Support Analyst to support attorneys and clients with patent-related workflows. The role can be housed in any U.S. office with a hybrid schedule (40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 8/9am start).

Responsibilities include drafting and filing with the USPTO, managing deadlines, and coordinating documents across multiple databases such as Patricia, Elite, iManage, PatSnap and USPTO systems. 2-3 years patent prosecution experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write routine office correspondence and forms.
• Solid understanding of legal transactions, procedures and calendaring requirements.
• Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Generate reports from firm and external patent databases as requested.
• Prepare and organize materials for USPTO filings such as IDS and 371 applications.
• Prepare and file US patent documents with the USPTO and associated offices.
• Monitor deadlines and produce reports related to patent matters.
• Draft, revise and finalize patent documents and related correspondence.
• Proofread and suggest edits on patent and related documents.
• Utilize firm databases and MS Office applications to manage information.
