Job summary

Fenwick & West LLP is seeking a Legal Support Analyst to assist attorneys and clients, ensuring compliance with firm policies. The role offers a hybrid work model with standard 40-hour weeks and non-exempt status.

You will generate patent reports, organize USPTO filings, and manage document preparation including assignments, deadlines, and recordations, collaborating with attorneys, patent agents, and paralegals.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write to perform routine office correspondence and forms.
• Understanding of legal transactions and calendaring requirements.
• Organize and prioritize numerous tasks under pressure.
• Effective communication with diverse clients, attorneys and staff.
• Willingness to travel to other off-site locations if needed.

Responsibilities

• Generate reports from firm databases and outside patent databases.
• Prepare and organize materials for USPTO filings.
• Prepare and send documents including assignments to inventors.
• Record and file documents with the USPTO.
• Prepare US National Stage applications with the USPTO.
• Monitor deadlines and generate related reports.
• Draft and finalize patent documents and related correspondence.
• Proofread and suggest edits on patent materials.
