Job summary

Fenwick & West seeks a Legal Support Analyst to assist attorneys and clients, ensuring compliance with firm policies and guiding patent-related workflows. You will generate reports from firm and external databases, prepare documents for USPTO filings, and manage deadlines across multiple jurisdictions.

The role is based in the United States with a hybrid work arrangement. It supports collaboration with attorneys, patent agents and paralegals and requires attention to detail and precision in

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write routine office correspondence and forms.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations for forms and records.
• Solid understanding of legal transactions, procedures and calendaring requirements.
• Organize and prioritize numerous tasks under pressure.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with diverse clients, attorneys and staff.
• Willingness to travel to off-site locations if necessary.
• This is a non-exempt position.
• Reports to Legal Support Analyst Supervisor.
• Ability to input/retrieve information from a PC to produce error-free copies.

Responsibilities

• Generate reports from firm databases and patent portfolios as requested.
• Prepare and organize materials for USPTO filings (Information Disclosure Statements).
• Prepare and file US National Stage (371) applications with the USPTO.
• Monitor upcoming patent deadlines and generate related materials.
• Draft, revise and finalize patent documents and filings.
• Proofread and edit patent documents.
• Coordinate with attorneys, patent agents and paralegals for filings.
• Manage file histories from USPTO and other sources.
