Job summary

Acentra Health is seeking a Part-time PASRR Evaluator in the Topeka, Kansas area. You will conduct PASRR Level II Pre-Admission screenings and related assessments, working with patients in local care settings to determine appropriate next level of care while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and government regulations.

This hybrid position blends remote work with field responsibilities, requiring travel to hospitals, nursing facilities, and community-based sites.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Kansas license in a healthcare or related discipline (LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LICSW, LCPC, LCP, RN with psychiatric focus, or LMHP)
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in a relevant field
• 3+ years of experience in the assessment and/or diagnosis of individuals with mental or psychiatric disorders, including complex differential diagnoses involving substance use, medical conditions, cognitive impairment, dementia or geriatric populations.
• 2+ years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, serious mental illness, or related conditions

Responsibilities

• Complete accurate PASRR screenings, evaluations, and determinations through clinical assessment of the patient, relevant records, and collateral sources of individuals.
• Ensure accurate PASRR review completion by determining appropriate level of care based on the patient's physical, behavioral, and psychological functioning.
• Ensure compliance with necessary workflow, including re-review of records based upon input from the psychiatrist.
• Determine a clinical diagnosis accounting for psychological and behavioral issues.
• Utilize computer equipment and web-based software to conduct work.
• Interact with healthcare professionals, patients, their families, and internal partners as necessary.
• Develop level of care recommendations based upon clinical evaluations.
• Assess and analyze psychological, emotional, behavioral, and physical functioning.
• Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules.
