Job summary

St. Joseph Center, a Los Angeles nonprofit, seeks a temporary People & Culture Operations Specialist for roughly five months. The role supports recruitment, onboarding, HRIS transactions, records, reporting, and learning programs in a hybrid work setting.

Ideal candidates have HR or People Operations experience, strong organizational skills, and discretion handling confidential data while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Prior HR, People Operations, or related administrative experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfort working with HR systems, employee data, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment activities.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding administration.
• Complete routine HRIS transactions, data updates, and data quality checks.
• Maintain employee records and assist with documentation requests, audits, and compliance tracking.
• Prepare routine P+C reports and trackers.
• Monitor the P+C inbox, respond to basic employee questions, and route more complex matters appropriately.
• Provide administrative and logistical support for learning and development programs.
• Support other P+C operational projects as needed.
