Job summary

JLL in Austin, TX is seeking an Occupancy Planner to track, analyze, and update space data across a client portfolio. You will drive scenario planning and occupancy solutions to optimize workplace efficiency and support hybrid work environments.

The role requires 3–5 years in occupancy planning or related facilities work, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. This onsite position offers a collaborative culture and growth opportunities within a global real estate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in occupancy planning, space management, interior office planning, furniture planning/management, move/project management, or related facilities function in a corporate real estate setting.
• Familiarity with workplace strategy concepts and hybrid work environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, and complex formulas) and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills with an analytical approach to space data analysis and ability to contribute meaningful insights.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong partnerships across business units, stakeholders, and facility management teams.
• Execute core deliverables including monthly reporting, data audits, utilization tracking, space and adjacency requirements gathering, and space layout updates.
• Support various occupancy planning tasks by applying analytical thinking, decision-making skills, and sound judgment to solve space challenges.
• Simplify complex spatial data and contribute to project delivery, adapting to changing client needs with proactive solutions.
• Develop compelling PowerPoint presentations that consolidate data and floor plans for client stakeholders across organizational levels.
• Conduct facility audits and contribute to planning strategies that optimize workplace efficiency and support hybrid work environments.
• Interpret and analyze floor plans while utilizing space planning tools, CAFM systems, and BI platforms to deliver occupancy solutions.
• Track occupancy utilization metrics and apply contemporary office design principles to support mobile and collaborative workplace trends.
