Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an associate engineer for a hybrid role focused on structural engineering for nuclear facilities. You will collaborate with a team of structural engineers and interface with other disciplines to advance designs for new plants and upgrades.

The role involves applying materials knowledge, structural analysis, steel and concrete design, and producing design calculations and drawings.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree preferred with coursework in steel and concrete design.
• Experience applying structural engineering concepts to design and analysis.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review design calculations and specifications.
• Support drawing development for multiple projects.
• Perform structural analysis of steel frames, concrete members, and connections.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for design reviews and field verification as needed.
