Job summary

Candidates should have a U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain DOE Q clearance and U.S. citizenship.
  • Experience with electrical systems design for buildings and facilities.
  • Knowledge of NFPA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, and DOE requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor electrical system integrity and configuration to anticipate maintenance needs.
  • Prepare logs, surveillance reports, and brief facility management.
  • Identify spare parts inventory and procurement needs.
  • Provide engineering support for modifications, repairs, and safety structures.
  • Support R&D projects with safe, DOE-compliant solutions.
  • Develop and apply problem-solving approaches for moderate complexity.
  • Assess impacts of new construction or renovations on systems.
  • Review procedures and design calculations for compliance.
  • Prepare and review design drawings and related documents.
