Job summary

Sargent & Lundy’s Nuclear Power Group seeks a Mechanical or Chemical Engineer with 5+ years in the nuclear industry. You will design and review modification packages, create or review mechanical drawings, perform analyses, and prepare specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.

You will also lead project teams, develop engineering cost estimates, interface with clients at sites, and participate in vendor evaluations. Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• 5+ years of experience in the nuclear power industry
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for nuclear plant mechanical design
• PE license preferred, but not required
• Must be bilingual in Spanish and English (speak, read, and write)

Responsibilities

• Modify packages for operating nuclear plants and review mechanical drawings
• Prepare or review engineering analyses and evaluations for plant system modifications
• Develop specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment
• Lead engineering project teams and perform vendor bid evaluations
