Network Services & Operations in Plano, TX is seeking a Network Operations Technical Analyst for hybrid duties (3 days onsite weekly). The role focuses on monitoring, incident triage, and operational support for network environments including switching, routing, firewall, and DNS.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, clear communication, and the ability to document incidents accurately while escalating as required.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Internet protocols and networks (WAN/LAN/TCP/IP/DNS/UDP/IPv4/IPv6/BGP).
• Familiarity with troubleshooting methodologies for networking problems.
• Basic understanding of network automation tools and processes.
• Self-starter with strong organization, detail orientation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, aligned to business impact and service restoral.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for network environments, including switching & routing (underlay and overlay), firewall, traffic management, content inspection, and DNS.
• Monitor and manage events using tools such as Splunk, SevOne, IBM Watson AI Ops, Wireshark, NetScout, and Gigamon.
• Perform Level I triage for networking incidents, identify service impact, and escalate per business impact and escalation paths.
• Initiate production support triage for network infrastructure incidents, troubleshoot, and escalate to next-level leadership as needed.
• Maintain data quality by ensuring incident tickets are complete and accurate in the system of record.
