Job summary

Facing History & Ourselves is seeking a Senior Director of Development for the Midwest region to own and execute an integrated fundraising plan across multiple states. You will lead a four-member team, manage donor portfolios, and partner with the Executive Director and boards to meet revenue goals.

You bring 10+ years in nonprofit development, a track record of six-figure gifts, and a data-driven approach to strategy, forecasting, and donor engagement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in nonprofit development and fundraising leadership.
• 5+ years of team management experience.
• Experience leading through a matrixed organization and coordinating with colleagues who are not direct reports.
• Proven experience developing and executing fundraising strategy across multiple markets.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and execution of the Midwest region’s annual and multi-year development plan.
• Lead an integrated development program across multiple states and markets.
• Drive performance across individual giving, institutional giving, events and donor engagement, and development operations.
• Establish and maintain revenue forecasting, pipeline and portfolio management with clear visibility to goals.
• Translate national strategies into effective regional execution and use data to adjust strategies.
