Job summary

Proofpoint in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Middle Enterprise Account Executive to drive sales of complex cybersecurity software in a hybrid role. You will engage prospects via phone, web conferences, and in-person meetings to showcase Proofpoint products and our value proposition.

Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing, collaborating with channel partners to grow revenue. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years selling enterprise software, experience with Mid-Market/Enterprise

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience selling complex enterprise class software.
• Experience selling to Mid-Market or Enterprise level accounts.
• Proven track record of sustained success in a sales role.
• Experience managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
• Strong phone and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
• CRM experience with Salesforce.com or other tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage with prospective new customers via phone, web conference and in-person to introduce Proofpoint products and value proposition.
• Drive the entire sales process from start to finish including prospecting, discovery, product demos, negotiations and closing.
• Collaborate with channel partners to drive net-new and incremental revenue.
• Coordinate with management for forecasting and strategic account planning.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint products and cybersecurity trends.
• May require adjusted hours to cover other time zones and occasional travel.
