Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Mechanical Engineer – New Graduate to join a dynamic hardware design team. The role involves developing networking product hardware, creating CAD models, and performing GD&T and heat-transfer analysis.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates with fundamentals in mechanical engineering and a keen interest in hands-on product development in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid work requires 2 days per week on-site in California.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of relevant engineering experience preferred.
• MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) with related internships or projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the mechanical design and development of networking systems and related hardware from concept through production.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
• Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, materials selection, structural mechanics, and heat transfer principles.
• Assist with prototype builds, testing, design verification, and product qualification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate concepts and identify risks.
• Support DFM/DFA and learn manufacturing processes (sheet metal, machining, die casting, extrusion).
