Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Mechanical Engineer – PhD/MS New Graduate in California. The role is designed as a hybrid position with an expectation to work from an HPE office on average 2 days per week.

You will contribute to mechanical design, 3D CAD modeling, and integration of electronics packaging for networking hardware. As a recent graduate or early career professional, you will gain hands-on experience across prototype builds, design verification, and collaboration with

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; recent graduate or up to 2 years of experience.
• MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Experience with electronics packaging or mechanical product design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design of networking systems, chassis, line cards, and hardware from concept to production.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models, assemblies and drawings.
• Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, materials selection, structural mechanics, and heat transfer.
• Participate in prototype builds, laboratory testing, design verification, and product qualification.
• Assist with mechanical failure investigations and root-cause analysis.
