Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Texas is seeking a Design Engineer to design mechanical hardware and production tooling in a hybrid role. This position requires hands-on CAD work, thermal and CFD validation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

Ideal candidates will have 2–4 years of mechanical design experience and a degree in mechanical engineering or engineering technology. The role supports hybrid work with two days onsite per week.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • Typically 2–4 years of experience.
  • Proficiency with CREO or similar 3D CAD software.
  • Experience designing sheet metal and plastic production tooling.
  • Familiarity with CFD and thermal validation methods.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

  • Design portions of mechanical and thermal hardware and production tooling.
  • Develop and validate test plans, tolerances, form/fit/function, and acoustics.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners on design and development.
  • Contribute to a project team to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions.
