Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Manager, Supplier Development Engineering - Special Process & Mechanical Assembly to lead a team across multiple US facilities, hybrid remote/in-office. Travel up to 50% and relocation within the US are possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of eight (8) years experience in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years leadership experience managing technical teams and cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the supplier development strategy for assigned regions, commodities, or business segments.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Supplier Development Engineers with clear performance expectations.
• Provide oversight of supplier capability, manufacturing, operational, and capacity risk assessments; implement mitigation plans.
• Drive supplier manufacturing excellence initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, process capability, and structured problem-solving.
• Lead assessment and management of supplier production capacity, scalability, and readiness for forecasted demand and growth.
• Ensure suppliers are prepared for new product introductions, capacity expansions, and Sourcing initiatives through early engagement.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for supplier development activities, team effectiveness, and operational improvements.
• Promote standardization and knowledge sharing across the supplier development organization.
