Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Manager, Supplier Development Engineering - Special Process & Mechanical Assembly, to lead a team focused on building supplier capability and readiness for special processes and mechanical assembly. The role is hybrid remote/in-office, with travel up to 50% and relocation benefits within the US.

The position requires eight years in supplier development or related fields and at least three years in leadership, with a Bachelor’s in Engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
8+ years in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations or related field.
3+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams and cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the supplier development strategy for assigned regions, commodities, or business segments.
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Supplier Development Engineers with performance plans and capability-building programs.
Oversee supplier capability, manufacturing, operational, and capacity risk assessments with mitigation plans.
Drive manufacturing excellence initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and process capability improvements.
Ensure readiness for new product launches, capacity expansions, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Establish and monitor standard processes for supplier capability assessments, audits, and development planning.
