Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Manager, Supplier Development Engineering - Special Process & Mechanical Assembly to lead a globally dispersed team. The role focuses on developing supplier capability, capacity, and readiness for special processes and mechanical assembly, driving improvements and launches across regions.

Hybrid remote/in-office in select U.S. facilities, with up to 50% travel. Salary range reflects senior leadership and broad responsibilities within Eaton's corporate sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality or related field.
• Minimum of eight (8) years experience in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years leadership experience managing technical teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead supplier development strategy for regions, commodities, or segments.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Supplier Development Engineers with succession plans.
• Oversee supplier capability and capacity risk assessments and mitigation.
• Drive manufacturing excellence using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving.
• Lead capacity readiness and alignment with forecasted demand and new product introductions.
• Ensure readiness for APQP, PPAP, industrialization and launches across suppliers.
• Establish governance for supplier assessments, audits, and development planning.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Quality, Engineering and Operations to align priorities.
• Establish KPIs for supplier development and cross-functional performance.
• Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across global supplier networks.
